Auto Collision Instructor Dean Tech is dedicated to providing students with high-quality vocational and technical education that prepares them for successful careers in their chosen fields. Our Auto Collision program is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in the automotive industry. Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Auto Collision Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and mentoring students, possess extensive knowledge of auto collision repair, and be committed to fostering a safe and productive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum in accordance with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education\'s vocational technical education frameworks for Auto Collision. Provide hands-on instruction in all areas of auto collision repair, including but not limited to: Body panel repair and replacement Frame straightening and alignment Surface preparation and refinishing Welding and metalworking techniques Paint mixing and application Detailing and customer service Integrate safety protocols and OSHA standards into all instructional activities. Utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials to engage students and enhance learning. Assess and evaluate student performance regularly through practical assessments, written exams, and project work. Collaborate with colleagues, industry partners, and community stakeholders to provide students with real-world learning opportunities, including internships and co-op placements. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workshop environment. Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continually improve the program. Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to school-wide initiatives. Qualifications: Massachusetts vocational technical educator license in Auto Collision or eligibility to obtain licensure. Minimum of five years of relevant industry experience in auto collision repair. Proficiency in the use of industry-standard tools, equipment, and software. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of students, staff, and community members. Preferred Qualifications: Previous teaching or training experience in a vocational or technical education setting. ASE certification in relevant areas of auto collision repair. Familiarity with Massachusetts Chapter 74 vocational education regulations.
