WHAT YOU’LL DO:WorkWave's DevOps Engineer leads building functional systems that improve the customer experience and is responsible for helping design, develop, and deploy product updates, for identifying production issues, and for helping with integrations that meet customer needs. More specific duties include: •Working closely with Product Delivery teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and workflows; •Building and supporting new deployment of products and infrastructure; developing database migration scripts and tools as needed for pipelines & testing; •Assisting product updates/fixes for technical problems or software defects; creating cloud infrastructure and configuration as code to automate provisioning and scaling processes; •Developing and leveraging AWS tools and services to manage and automate key operations capabilities; •Building application environments and platforms in AWS using techniques and tools to guarantee high availability, reliability, disaster recovery, security, and monitoring; •Developing solutions for continuously monitoring and alerting around uptime and performance; •Developing and improving Web, Mobile, and API automated test frameworks to be fast, modular, and reliable; •Mentoring software developers and software engineers to ensure development follows established processes; •Developing and owning best practices/methodologies for provisioning, platform scaling, configuration management, and monitoring in order to improve the organization's visibility of how systems interact and perform; •Participating in on-call escalation chain as wells as off-hour maintenance as needed; and •Collaborating with and taking direction from Senior DevOps Engineers.WHO AND WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field (foreign equivalent accepted).•2 years' experience in a software development or software engineering position.•Required experience must include experience in: developing, maintaining, and improving CI/CD pipeline using cloud services and automation tools; C#/.NET languages, principles, and design patterns; designing and implementing scalable cloud-based services (AWS/Azure) to support development teams; system configuration and administration, load balancing, scaling, monitoring and distributed file systems; programming languages including Bash scripting; infrastructure configuration management tools such as Chef; using and maintaining monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Kibana; identifying necessary Azure resources and automating their provisioning; database administration using MySQL and Oracle; and documenting automation processes to ensure clear understanding and replicability. •NOTE: All Workwave, LLC positions may be subject to background checks.A GLOBAL COMPANY WITH A LOCAL PRESENCE:•We know that there are benefits of being in the office and working from home.
