Install, maintain and repair electrical components of industrial equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Support and adhere to Parker’s Code of Ethics, policies, and procedures and observe housekeeping guidelines. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed:

Essential Functions:

· Facilities Maintenance Electricians install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment, parts, and control panels as well as bend conduit, pull wire, and design electrical systems. This position requires extensive knowledge of electrical components as well as electrical safety codes and regulations. This person must be professional, technical, and mechanically proficient.

· The work can be physically demanding. In order to install and repair equipment, this person must be able to crawl, climb, and stand for extended periods of time as well as operate tools in close proximity to electrical components. They also will need to be able to operate boom lifts, scissor lifts, and fork lifts.

· Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical components of industrial equipment.

· Work as a team member or alone to complete projects.

· Observing safety procedures and meeting electrical codes.

· Making decisions based on technical documents.

· Performing quality testing and inspections on electrical equipment

Qualification Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Must be able to understand and make decisions based on technical documents, such as blueprints, schematics, or instructions. This person must be motivated to work on their own and as part of a team.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to take management direction are a requirement.

  • Highschool diploma or GED.

  • Journeyman experience or the completion of an apprenticeship program

  • Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.

  • Awareness of national, state, and local electrical codes and regulations.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Motivated self-starter who can manage projects and make decisions.

  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents.

  • Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as heaving lifting, climbing ladders, crawling, etc.

  • Ability to determine load and load limits on electrical service.

  • Readily accepts and acts on directions from Supervisor.

  • Excellent attendance.
