JOB OVERVIEW

 

The AGM COS Stacker is responsible for loading positive and negative plates into the stacker to create books for the correct battery size, as per the daily production schedule. The AGM COS Stacker is also responsible for the removal of completed books from the equipment, inspecting for quality and loading onto a pallet for easy movement to the AGM COS Unloader.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Successfully complete training as an AGM COS Stacker operator.
  • Conduct all required quality tests within indicated timelines and record results.
  • Visually assess plates and output of equipment to identify potential quality concerns.
  • Break plates apart to ensure free movement of each plate.
    • Note: stacks of plates weigh between 10-18lbs, lifted repetitively.
  • Load shuttles with positive and negative plates.
  • Clear plate jams throughout stacker equipment.
  • Refill separator rolls.
  • Intermediate troubleshooting skills.
    • Includes making manual and computerized adjustments to stacker equipment, adjusting sprayer and refilling paint.
  • Prioritization and problem solving skills.
  • Address all quality issues observed, in partnership with supervision, quality team and maintenance.
  • Ability to manage time.
    • Includes utilizing downtime to identify lower priority tasks that can be accomplished, such as but not limited to: minor repairs, BAEs, departmental housekeeping, restocking of low inventory items throughout AGM COS.
  • Follow published escalation and stop point procedures to minimize scrap and downtime.
  • Accurately record and dispose of scrap.
  • Perform BAEs as indicated by work instructions.
  • Participate in preventative maintenance of equipment.
  • Actively participate in lean enterprise initiatives to improve business processes.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal form.
  • Perform tasks as assigned, which may include tasks not listed.

     

     

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES
