Join us as a Principal Engineer Electrical Your Skills Principal Engineer - Electrical for Schindler Elevator Corporation at its Holland, Ohio office. Provide planning and leadership for the resolution of technical problems involving non-current products in our portfolio. Primary responsibilities will include: Plan and lead complex problem resolution projects involving a group of lower classified engineers and technical support personnel to achieve timely, cost-effective solutions. Develop product upgrades using new technologies to reduce callbacks, improve reliability or reduce maintenance labor. Analyze and solve complex systems problems in a manner that is sensitive to the needs of an existing service customer. Act as the company expert in one or more elevator systems or products which are no longer in production, maintain all associated product documentation. Create unique original product designs which may be patentable. Recommend company technical positions on code, commercial and industry issues. Analyze new technologies and make appropriate application to upgrade field diagnostic capabilities. Develop manufacturing drawings, installation procedures and test specifications in order to achieve broad-based and cost-effective application of service problem resolution. Provide technical expert testimony in court or advise to the legal department. Prepare and conduct technical training courses in conjunction with the training department. Provide feedback to the R&D group regarding design applications. Your Experience Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or other related technical field of study; plus 36 months of experience in the offered position or other related positions. Experiences may be concurrent. Employer is willing to accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and/or training to satisfy the minimum requirements for the position.
