Job Overview

 

We are currently looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team in Holland, MI.

 

As a Senior Product Manager you will:

Plan and manage worldwide product lines (surface materials) to assure successful design, engineering, production, introduction, marketing, and sale of profitable line, assuring continued overall profitable growth and market position. Collaborates with other Product and/or Business Groups to ensure coordination and planning of global strategy.

 

Some of the responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

 

Manages product line segment and mix to maximize financial performance.

Defines market size, segmentation needs, and trends worldwide to maximize product line performance.

Develops product strategy based on market and competitive data worldwide to ensure integration into corporate strategic plan.

Determines feature/function/benefit requirements to satisfy market needs and product strategy.

Defines product criteria, including aesthetics, color, and texture considerations to satisfy customer requirements. Coordinates, with Industrial Design, translation of these criteria into product concepts.

Defines short- and long-term product plans to ensure profitability and success of product or product line, in conjunction with all functional departments; coordinates resources of all functional departments in planning and developing products from concept to introduction to phase out. Performs as project manager for new product development projects.

Determines product cost objective and establishes product pricing to maximize financial performance.

Determines product life cycle, based on market needs and competition, to maximize product line performance; establishes phase in/phase out plans, with special attention given to inventory control.

Defines and controls product quality standards to ensure product line success and meet customer expectations.

Approves, in collaboration with Industrial Design, all product changes that affect design, function, and marketability of product to ensure success of product or product line.

Identifies appropriate channels of distribution and coordinates implementation with Marketing and Sales Departments to expand and improve product performance.

Establishes Marketing Communication strategy and requirements, in collaboration with Corporate Marketing Communications, including catalogs, prices list, brochures, advertising, and promo
