Summary:
As a utility engineer, you will provide mechanical or electrical expertise and cost effective solutions for multiple utility facility operating and construction projects that meet budget, quality, and schedule requirements.
Responsibilities:
Plan and manage engineering activities concerned with design, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning
Mechanical: Boiler, Compressed Dry Air System, Chiller, HVAC, Piping etc.
Electrical: Switchgear (MV, LV), Transformer, PLC, Bus duct etc.
Preventive maintenance execution in order to complete all PM tasks
Troubleshoot the abrupt breakdown of utility facilities
Make and review technical document
Monitoring utility operation
Demonstrate problem-solving methodology and reduce a loss of utility cost
Follow the work procedure and comply with safety & standard
Perform other duties as assigned
Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
Follow LGESMI existing cleaning SOP’s during downtime (e.g. line stop, waiting time, etc.), which includes cleaning your designated machine and/or surrounding work area
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent, relevant experience
Experience:
1 to 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing setting as a mechanical or electrical utility system engineer preferred
Skills:
Exposure in mechanical or electrical facilities setting, preferably in production facility
Experienced with the handling of Utility Facilities
Certifications with certificates on the mechanical or electrical engineering and certification of boiler operation & maintenance
Comfortable working independently and with others
Results-oriented and perseverant
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Project and process management skills
Strong attention to detail
Technically proficient and motivated to continuously improve
