Job Summary:

The Electrical Engineer Manager will lead a team of electrical engineers in designing, developing, and overseeing the production of electrical equipment and systems. Your responsibilities include project management, setting goals for your team, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. With a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, you will guide your team through technical challenges, fostering innovation and ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Sustaining and value engineering of existing designs

• Conduct experiments and analyze data to develop new products or improve existing ones

• Project Execution:

support quoting to set appropriate budgets for electrical engineering

create drawings and designs for customer projects

work with project management to ensure customer dates are met

meet with customers to coordinate project deliverables

• Collaborate with other engineers and scientists to develop new technologies and solutions

• Process Design and Optimization

• Monitor and troubleshoot production processes to ensure quality and consistency

• Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste

• Quality Control and Assurance

• Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure products meet industry standards

• Conduct laboratory tests and analyze data to verify product quality and troubleshoot any issues

• Work with production teams to ensure processes and products comply with regulatory requirements

• Project Management

• Lead and manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met

• Communicate project updates and progress to stakeholders

• Technical Support

• Provide technical support to customers and colleagues, answering inquiries and troubleshooting issues

• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and trends to provide expert technical advice

• Safety and Environmental Compliance

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures in the design and operation of chemical processes

• Develop and implement plans to minimize the environmental impact of chemical processes

• Participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Team Management:

• Lead and manage a team, providing guidance, feedback, and support.

• Set goals and KPIs for team members and monitor performance.

• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

• Develop and implement training programs to keep team members updated on trends and strategies.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with at least 5 years experience., with at least 2 years experience as a people manager or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.

• Planning and Scheduling: Proficiently create project plans, define milestones, and establish timelines. Ensure that tasks are well-organized and aligned with strategic objectives.

• Budgeting: Skillfully manage project budgets, allocate resources effectively, and monitor expenses. Make informed decisions to optimize financial outcomes.

• Resource Allocation: Allocate personnel, tools, and other resources efficiently to achieve project goals. Balance competing priorities and adapt as needed.

• End-to-end Project Management: Lead improvement projects from initiation to completion. Monitor progress, address challenges, and ensure timely delivery of measurable results.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project Management Professional (PMP): This certification is valuable for engineers who wish to move into project management roles.

• Certified Electrical Engineer (CCE): Recognizes Electrical Engineers who have engaged in professional development.

Salary range:

$105,000.00 - $189,000.00
