Sunflower Electric Power Corporation, a generation and transmission utility serving Kansas has a great opportunity for a Coal & Material Handler Trainee, in Holcomb, KS ! In this position, you are expected to progress through the training within two-years to become a Coal and Material Handler while working alongside a talented team. You'll operate heavy equipment and learn the principles used in material handling. This job allows you to push yourself to improve your craft, achieve your goals, and be part of a crew that supports the entire operations of the facility.

Summary:
This position provides training and exposure to equipment and systems for an individual to meet the necessary qualifications to fill a vacancy in the Coal and Material Handler position.
Top Qualifications:
High school diploma and one-year of industrial experience performing heavy physical labor on a daily basis, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of and able to operate a loader. Ability to progress and learn to operate more complex equipment (i.e. dozer, scraper).
