DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Territory Sales - Field Sales Account Executive – Senior to join our team specializing in Sales for our corporate office in Hodgkins, IL.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Identify and Develop New Opportunities: By researching and contacting prospective customers, you will expand the business and open new sales channels.

Build and Strengthen Customer Relationships: Your efforts in developing and executing account plans will foster strong, lasting relationships with both new and existing customers.

Understand Customer Needs: By identifying and understanding customer needs, you will tailor Cummins solutions to meet their specific requirements, enhancing customer satisfaction.

Drive Sales and Achieve Targets: Your proactive approach in conducting face-to-face sales calls and negotiations will help you meet and exceed sales goals.

Manage Accounts Receivables: By assisting with collections and maintaining acceptable levels of past due accounts, you will ensure financial stability and smooth operations.

Collaborate for Customer Satisfaction: Working with internal stakeholders and customers, you will resolve issues and balance inventory, service, and delivery capabilities to meet customer expectations.

Utilize Sales Tools and Processes: Consistently using the Cummins Sales Process and Customer Relationship Management tools will streamline your sales activities and improve efficiency.

Mentor and Lead: Providing guidance and mentoring to less experienced account executives will help build a stronger, more capable sales team.

Value Proposition: Clearly articulate and demonstrate the strengths and weaknesses of products, solutions, and services to meet customer needs and differentiate from competitors.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

  • Required: College, university, or equivalent degree in Marketing, Sales or a related subject, or acceptable sales related work experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

  • Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Self-Motivated - This role is accountable for a specific area of responsibility and a book of business.  It's critical a candidate have experience(s) where they can demonstrate self-discipline including customer call prioritizing, scheduling and route optimization.

  • Strong Communication Skills - Written, listening, speaking and presentation. Solid verbal and interpersonal skills including the ability to interface at all levels within an organization. The ideal candidate would show confidence in this area and have a history of relatable experiences at various levels in an organization.

  • Customer Focused - foundational to develop customer loyalty and trust. We strive to put our customers first in all we do, working to enhance customer satisfaction, resolving issues with a sense of urgency and building strong customer relationships. 

  • Solutions minded - we are looking for individuals who demonstrate resourcefulness in finding solutions to problems, externally and internally. It's also about striving to consistently create positive experiences/solutions for our customers to develop long-term rapport and loyalty.

  • Conflict resolution skills - we are looking for individuals who can actively listen and objectively provide feedback/guidance to our customers in times of conflict.  This requires a great deal of emotional intelligence and self-awareness.

  • This role should be located in (Greater Chicagoland). Other locations may be considered at manager discretion.

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
