Position: Principal Product ManagerJob Location: 221 River Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030Duties: Own the design, strategy, and execution of IoT technology (RFID and Bluetooth) across Walmart’s Supply Chain. Utilize product and feature analytics to independently conduct data analysis, monitor data trends, and support exploratory data analysis using SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, BigQuery, and Microsoft (MS) Excel. Provide inputs to set up hypothesis testing to assess plausibility of a solution or problem quickly. Develop and own complex product roadmaps, ensuring communication with stakeholders, resource allocation, and creating opportunities for fellow team members. Utilize tools like Jira and Microsoft Project to leverage agile/scrum methodologies to set up the product development lifecycle. Take ownership of customer problems and product requirements, articulate problem statements, and drive go-to-market strategies for mass adoption. Utilize skills like MVP (Minimum Viable Product) and POC (Proof of Concept) for designs and launches. Drive business and user acceptance testing for products, manage the adoption of emerging technologies, and demonstrate an understanding of systems architecture and innovation. Utilize knowledge of modern industry practices and emerging trends, competitive technology landscapes, common PaaS (Platform as a Service), IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), SaaS (Software as a service) technologies, and software quality assurance methodologies. Utilize domain expertise of Data Science, Analytics, Software Development, IoT technology, network engineering, and Technical Product Management concepts to effectively communicate with Technical Teams, Business and Technical Stakeholders, and Customers. Influence decision making for the future of Walmart’s supply chain. Maintain and enhance relation with vendors who support Walmart through hardware and software technologies and ensure a seamless integration between the two. Maintain the security and compliance standards established by Walmart. This position does not supervise employees.Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Engineering (Any), Computer Science, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, or a related field and 3 years of experience in product management, business consulting, or related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Engineering (Any), Computer Science, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, or a related field and 6 years of experience in product management, business consulting, or related field.Skills required: Experience with Data Engineering and using ETL, Apache, Hadoop, and Kafka. Experience with Cloud Technologies: Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure. Experience with querying languages: SQL PLSQL, and NoSQL, including Cassandra DB. Experience creating dashboards and reports using Tableau, PowerBI, and Microsoft (MS) Excel. Experience with data storytelling using Microsoft (MS) PowerPoint, dashboards, and MIRO. Experience coding using Python and Java. Demonstrated knowledge of PaaS, IaaS, SaaS. Experience with Scrum and Agile Methodologies and using Jira, Confluence, and BigPicture. Experience with the Product Development Lifecycle, including MVP, POC, and Pilot. Experience with hypothesis testing and A/B testing. Experience with negotiating, resource planning, influencing leaders, communicating with diverse audiences, product strategy and vision development, and creating Product Requirements Documents (PRDs).
