Job Description Summary

The Senior Engineer – CT (Computed Tomography) Systems will design CT products with each sub-system team and deliver CT system with the highest quality. CT Systems Senior Engineer is considered as an expert in CT Systems and key components like X-ray tube, Detector, Operator Console, Imaging especially in Scan & Data Acquisition Control, working on complex technological solutions, solving issues and developing new solutions by leveraging wealth of technical experiences and knowledges. Also, this role requires Quality Management System knowledge, Risk Management, and Regulatory for both new products and post-market products.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

The Senior Engineer – CT (Computed Tomography) Systems will design CT products with each sub-system team and deliver CT system with the highest quality. Key Responsibilities

  • Working with cross-functional engineers, marketing team, product definition team, and global team to define system requirements for new products and technology roadmaps

  • Working across functions and team boundaries to define, design, and implement technology solutions on new product introductions

  • Using broad technical expertise and experience to help resolve complex design issues with current products

  • Providing domain expertise to own/lead technical design reviews, investigation of technical risks and existing technical challenges, as well as providing innovative solutions to achieve optimal system performance

  • Designing CT system level requirements for new CT products with related sub-system/platform team through product programs

  • Providing technical leadership for project execution

  • Driving the CT requirements definitions, sub-system integrations, and risk management through product programs

  • Developing methods to improve customer workflow, and deliver system-level designs to deliver an effective solution

  • Maintaining engineering systems for product development in the program

  • Develop test scope and plan, including identification of resources needed to complete the testing.

Required Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Medical Physics, Computer Science, Software, Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field.

  • More than 5 years system level engineering work or comparable experiences

  • Experience working with others on a global basis and demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, matrixed, and customer focused environment

  • Effective communication skills - ability to present ideas clearly and concisely

  • Demonstrated ability to pursue tasks to completion

  • Demonstrated problem solving ability and results orientation

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, matrixed, and customer focused environment

  • Business level Japanese and business level English communication and writing skill to drive global development work.

Desired Characteristics

  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Medical Physics, Computer Science, Software, Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field.

  • Medical imaging devices development experience

  • Enough knowledge in the CT system or comparable medical imaging system design as well as its maintenance design

  • System integration experiences under the solid quality management system

  • Proficient in the hardware components development and integration, and related tools .

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task

  • Working knowledge of IEC 60601-1 Standards and regulation for medical devices

  • Adapting to dynamic changes in circumstances
