Temporary full time from 2/26/2025 to 11/15/2025 Employees will help calve out calves during the calving season. Tag calves, medicate, vaccinate, and treat for seasonal illnesses. Care for the newborn calves and nursing mothers during the cold weather period when they require additional care and feed due to the extremely cold temperatures and seasonal illnesses. Isolate sick calves. Transport hay bales. Feed cattle during snowy/subfreezing periods when no seasonal pasture lands remain available for them to naturally graze upon. Remove snow from farm property. Break ice formation in water tanks daily, possibly multiple times a day depending on the temperatures. Help with branding of the calves, vaccinations, tagging, banding/castration and sorting before the calves are hauled to sale yards and market in the fall. Be able to load and unload cattle into trailers. Move all livestock out to pasture, by pickup truck, horseback or utv, once seasonal grasslands become accessible in the spring. Haul minerals and salt blocks to various pasture lands and check on the water accessibility each day. Routinely check on livestock in various pasture lands. Employees will assist in servicing equipment in preparation for Spring Seeding, Haying and Harvesting. Assist with the planting, haying and harvesting of the crops. Set up and move augers, as needed. Use a tractor or a pick-up truck to move augers or manually move augers from grain bin to grain bin. Employees will clean bins along with all grain spillage outside of grain bin. Employees will perform a variety of general maintenance and repairs to equipment, building and fences, due to damage from everyday use and weather. Run errands to pickup parts, materials and supplies, using pickup trucks that are primarily equipped with both standard (clutch) and automatic transmissions. Employees will have to clean trucks, equipment and pickup trucks as necessary. Pick rocks from fields as necessary, to avoid damage to the farm equipment. All vehicles that are operated by the employees will be under the 26,001 lb GVW Weight Limit and at no cost to the employees/workers.
