job summary:
We are searching for a Manufacturing Engineer in the Chicago, IL area to work for an automotive manufacturing company. Candidates should have experience designing manufacturing processes and layouts. This is a direct hire role with comprehensive benefits.

responsibilities:
Identify process improvement opportunities with respect to operations and personnel, and find ways to eliminate waste, improve work-flow, insure safety and improve production output in current and new production processes.
Review engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods and activities in manufacturing and services
Define how to manufacture parts or products, or deliver services, with maximum efficiency
Develop quality control procedures to resolve production problems or minimize costs
Work with customers and management to develop standards for design and production
Confer with clients concerning product specifications, vendors about purchases, management personnel about manufacturing capabilities, and staff about the status of projects
