DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Semi Skilled Laborer, you will be performing a variety of tasks in the management, operation and protection of the Loyalsock State Forest.  This will include tasks such as maintenance, groundskeeping, and operating equipment as well assisting with district fire suppression efforts. You may also be involved in checking and repairing landscaping equipment, making minor building repairs, assisting with tree removal, and painting or staining park structures. Additionally, you may be responsible for constructing or repairing wooden gates, bridges, and overseeing volunteer projects based on your performance and experience.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Seasonal full-time employment without benefits. The season runs from March through November. Work hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Wednesday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Thursday, Friday off This position requires overtime and travel as necessary. QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Condition of Employment: This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.

Other Requirements:

You must meet the PA residency requirement. 

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
