Job Description
Job Summary
Provides technical leadership in the development, implementation and execution of a Reliability Engineering program at multiple sites across North America. Standardization, compliance, data analysis, root cause investigation leadership and development of technical personnel, engineers and plant personnel.
Responsibilities
Coach and/or lead implementing Reliability Engineering Projects requiring familiarity with a broad field of Reliability Engineering and knowledge of cross-interaction with other functions/technologies/specialties;
Reliability Engineering Projects included, but not limited to, Maximo (EAM), FMECA, RCA, Item/Asset/PM Standardization, PM/Spare Part Optimization, Precision Maintenance, Condition Monitoring, Lubrication, Advance Scheduling, Asset/Spare Part Criticality Ranking, MES Production Data Loss Analysis;
Provide Reliability Engineering support to plants in implementing Corporate initiated Reliability Engineering Projects as well as improving plant safety, product quality and OEE.
Train plant personnel, such as Plant Reliability Engineer, Planner/Scheduler, Inventory Coordinator, Maintenance Staff, to fulfil their responsibilities in Reliability Engineering Projects.
Confers with peers in the industry.
Provides technical leadership, defines and resolves problems through individual and team-based continuous improvement activities and structured problem solving methods.
Lead change utilizing six-sigma methodology and common logic
Organize and track progress and hold member accountable for delivery of tasks/goals
Manage through influence
Develops junior technical team members providing direction,
Review and recommend hiring and designated work assignments
Coach junior team members in the development of required competencies
Act as a mentor to technical personnel at multiple sites
Travel required estimated at 20-50%

Required Skills and Knowledge
Computer Skills – proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), analyzing spreadsheet information, using Pivot Tables, V-look up, Pareto Charts, Bar Charts, Drop Down Menus, etc.
Working knowledge of AutoCad,
Analytical and critical thinking
Project implementation skills – initial planning through execution
Strong interpersonal and communication skills – (written, verbal and presentation), with the ability to effectively work with others in a team environment and influence or get results through others in a non-reporting relationship (position currently has no direct reports)
Lean Six Sigma training an asset
Strong organizational skills
Fluent in English
Education and Experience
10+ years’ relevant industry work experience in a technical or leadership role
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering or equivalent
PEO Designation an asset
