Come and join us. Intel seeks a highly qualified candidate to join our Next Cloud Connectivity Group (NCCG).

Join our System Integration team focused on Ethernet IO management. as an NCCG System Integration Engineer where you will be working with an exciting group of engineers working on Ethernet Smart NIC (SNIC) and Foundation NIC (FNIC) product lines. This team focuses on both the FW and HW elements of the 200G/400G/800G Ethernet PHY solutions.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Designs, develops, integrates, tests, validates, and/or debugs software across multiple layers of the software stack spanning firmware, drivers, operating systems, middleware, frameworks, algorithms, and applications/UI for a specific technology, product/platform, and/or market segment, including the development of software to enable specific features, capabilities, solutions, reference platforms, or Intel products.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Requirements listed below would be obtained through a combination of Industry job-relevant experience, internship experiences, and / or school work classes /research

What we need to see (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field and 4+ years of related experience.

  • 3+ years of experience developing SW automated test environments and tools using Python/C/C# and shell scripts, Solid understanding of SW development flows including architecture tradeoffs and implementation dependencies for different code environments.

  • 2+ years of experience validating and characterizing IPs in standalone / full-chip and performing results analysis and debug activities using advanced test and measurement lab equipment oscilloscopes and analyzers to debug circuit boards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree or higher

  • Technical leadership experience

  • Familiarity with Ethernet SerDes

  • Experience with writing architectural requirements or defining flows that are necessary for the integration of IP into SOC

  • Experience in the following fields RTOS FW SW IO Tools NVM config or PreSi verification

  • Familiarity with low-speed IO such as I2C MDIO UART

  • Experience with Linux

  • Software development skills in Python, C, and TCL

  • Experience in debugging low-level SerDes and FW issues related to system configuration

  • Solid understanding of SW development flows including architecture tradeoffs and implementation dependencies for different code environments

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
