Job Description

Intel Mask Operations (IMO) in Hillsboro, is looking for a Software Application Development Engineer who will be part of our team to be a key player. As Software Application Development Engineer you will be designing, developing, testing, and debugging software applications used by end-users or integrated with other applications.

In this exciting role your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Designing machine learning (ML) systems and artificial intelligence (AI) software to create predictive models.

  • Developing ML algorithms to analyze large volumes of historical data to make accurate predictions.

  • Deploying algorithms and deep learning models to production and test environments, supporting creation of APIs and building in security and traceability for back-end services.

  • Development may span the full application stack including both front-end and back-end application development.

  • Using modern software development methodologies and programming languages.

  • Following secure coding practices and software legal compliance guidelines.

  • Analyzing user stories, writing both functional and test code, automating build and deployment and performing unit integration and end-to-end testing of applications.

  • Interacting with end-users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Electronics Engineering, Math/Statistics, or related field.

  • 4+ years of experience programming in Python and C/C++, related with creation and software debugging of new code as well as the same on complex, existing codebases.

  • Software development experience for Linux and Windows operating systems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with machine learning, numerical optimization, and scientific computing, specifically techniques related to image processing/analysis using packages like PyTorch.

  • Extensive knowledge of ML frameworks, libraries, data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.

  • Rapid prototyping and scripting abilities

  • Software development and debug experience with complex high-performance, multi-core, parallel processed applications.

  • Functional understanding of the underlying theory of deep learning models like higher-dimensional tensor math.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $91,500.00-$137,436.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
