Job Description
Intel Mask Operations (IMO) in Hillsboro, is looking for a Software Application Development Engineer who will be part of our team to be a key player. As Software Application Development Engineer you will be designing, developing, testing, and debugging software applications used by end-users or integrated with other applications.
In this exciting role your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Designing machine learning (ML) systems and artificial intelligence (AI) software to create predictive models.
Developing ML algorithms to analyze large volumes of historical data to make accurate predictions.
Deploying algorithms and deep learning models to production and test environments, supporting creation of APIs and building in security and traceability for back-end services.
Development may span the full application stack including both front-end and back-end application development.
Using modern software development methodologies and programming languages.
Following secure coding practices and software legal compliance guidelines.
Analyzing user stories, writing both functional and test code, automating build and deployment and performing unit integration and end-to-end testing of applications.
Interacting with end-users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Electronics Engineering, Math/Statistics, or related field.
4+ years of experience programming in Python and C/C++, related with creation and software debugging of new code as well as the same on complex, existing codebases.
Software development experience for Linux and Windows operating systems.
Preferred qualifications:
2+ years of experience with machine learning, numerical optimization, and scientific computing, specifically techniques related to image processing/analysis using packages like PyTorch.
Extensive knowledge of ML frameworks, libraries, data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.
Rapid prototyping and scripting abilities
Software development and debug experience with complex high-performance, multi-core, parallel processed applications.
Functional understanding of the underlying theory of deep learning models like higher-dimensional tensor math.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $91,500.00-$137,436.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
