Southern State Community College Workforce Development STNA Program Training Facilitator in Hillsboro, Ohio
Responsibilities: 1) Develops and implements lesson plans for the STNA program as defined by the required training of the Ohio Certified Nurse Aide manual 2) Delivers lectures and conduct hands-on training sessions 3) Evaluates student performance and provide feedback 4) Maintains accurate records of student attendance and performance 5) Ensures the program meets all state and federal regulations 6) Collaborates with other instructors and staff to improve the program 7) Participates in professional development activities to stay current with industry trends and best practices Qualifications: 1) Holds a current and unencumbered RN license in the State of Ohio 2) Has two years of experience working as a registered nurse, with at least one of those years of which must be in providing long-term care facility services. Has completed a TTT program according to the Ohio administrative code OR one-year experience in teaching adults and possess the training manual required by rule 3701-18-21 of the administrative code from an approved train the trainer program OR within the previous three years provided at least one year (1,600 hours) of direct supervision of nurse aides in a long-term care facility as a registered nurse. 3) Utilize strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse population. 4) Demonstrates expert clinical skills 5) Works independently and as a part of a team to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. 6) Preferred BSN 7) Has a current, State-approved credentials in the Train the Trainer, Nurse Aid Training program 8) Teaching experience in higher education, career tech, or K-12 preferred
