Merchants National Bank Branch Manager in Hillsboro, Ohio

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manages a full-service branch to include its business development activities, personnel, customer service, profitability, and operations • Open new accounts for bank products and services and expands existing customer relationships through cross-selling or referring products and services to the appropriate areas • Assist customers with consumer (non-mortgage) loan needs by accepting applications, collecting supporting documentation, and closing approved loans • Ensures standard operating procedures, regulations and policies are followed and provides guidance to branch personnel on operating problems, exceptions, and adjustments • Demonstrates a high level of leadership, supporting the Bank's strategic plan and ensuring business practices are consistent with the Bank's mission • Supervises the branch staff to include recruitment, selection, training and development, scheduling, monitoring and evaluating performance • Monitors branch production reports, coaches and trains branch staff, and utilizes customer relationship management skills to achieve established goals and profitability targets • Ensures effective and efficient customer service is provided by the branch staff to include opening all types of accounts, providing customers with information, and resolving banking problems for customers • Participates in community activities to support organizational goals • Ensures all audit and compliance requirements are met • Attends regular bank meetings and training sessions and is responsible for effectively communicating new policies and procedures as well as sales information to the branch staff • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree or commensurate experience preferred • Three (3) years of banking experience to include supervisory experience is required • Must possess excellent communication, organization, analytical, supervision, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in working with computers
