Oversee service and repair procedures as well as shop personnel. Service and repair various pumps, motors, and power units including testing, trouble-shooting, repair and assembly. Maintain Safety, Quality and Productivity in the shop with all personnel.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate shop activities-
- Assign{target="_blank"} duties to Technicians based on schedule given to you by Regional Operations Manager.
- Keep{target="_blank"} work flowing through shop based on required date and urgency on schedule. Directing technicians on what units take priority and keeping product moving across the test stand.
- Keep{target="_blank"} Tech's on task and productive (assign work when needed on days that are slow, help keep shop running at 60% productivity rate.
- Train{target="_blank"} new Technicians, assist Technicians with repairs and development.
- Be{target="_blank"} the go to guy on the shop floor, keep work flowing, drive the schedule and answer all day to day questions the technicians might have.
- Garner{target="_blank"} proper procedures and information for technicians- show them where to look.
- Work{target="_blank"} with technicians as needed, teaching unique techniques regarding disassembly and assembly. Tricks of the trade
- Technical{target="_blank"} Resource for technicians on products worked on in the shop. (IE- Danfoss, Poclain, Eaton, Rexroth, Linde, Kawasaki.)
- Clean{target="_blank"}, organize, and maintain the Shop and Shop equipment.
Work with Regional Operations Manager
- Communicate shop supplies that need to get ordered and identify any tooling or equipment that needs to be added or replaced.
- Communicate{target="_blank"} production issues in the shop, or problems or areas of need with the technicians to the Regional Operations Manager.
Work with the Sales Team
- Fielding CSR and AM questions on parts write ups, (what's bad, why is it bad, does it need to be replaced.)
- Inspect{target="_blank"} parts and various components. Determine if parts are re-workable.
- Ability{target="_blank"} to write up an inspection report for a repair if needed.
- Help{target="_blank"} make decisions about parts and if they are ok to re-use.
- Contact{target="_blank"} CSR's and AM's for pressure settings or documents needed for units.
Testing and Trouble Shooting and Repairing Units
Investigate hydraulic or pneumatic systems that are not working properly using schematics and diagnostic equipment.
