Airlite Nonwovens 3rd Shift Supervisor in HILDEBRAN, North Carolina

SUMMARY: Responsible for organizing and prioritizing production flow to achieve business units goals. Develops and coaches leads and plant team members by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyzes production requirements and estimates labor hours to meet both internal and external customer needs. Delegates production requirements that are clear, measurable and informative to essential team members Interfaces with production team to ensure customer requirements are met Ensures conformance to customer quality requirements Directs appropriate team members regarding adjustment of machines and equipment that fail to produce quality and quantity standards Works closely with the maintenance and plant leadership to understand the machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization to improve OEE Develops, recommends and implements measures to improve effectiveness of production methods, machine performance and scrap reduction Submits recommendations for changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase production efficiency Analyzes and resolves production problems and coaches employees in solving production problems Maintains time and production records Communicates and implements company policies and standards of conduct, safety and housekeeping Cooperatively develops and implements employee evaluations and performance reviews Structures and initiates training and coaching procedures to support and achieve employee skill development and attainment Participates in the development and implementation of new technologies Will be an operator of the companys inventory control software system for production, inventory management, equipment real time monitoring, warehouse inventory control, physical count auditing as determined necessary, etc. Communicates production support needs to maintenance and shipping functions Maintains attendance company standards Works weekends and holidays as required to meet customer requirements and company priorities Ensures the entire facility is neat, clean and organized at all times Audits and maintains safety and housekeeping expectations Exhibits objectivity and openness to others views. Treats all employees with respect Contributes to building a positive team spirit Inspects machines, equipment and work environment to ensure specific operational performance, optimum utilization and employee safety Resolves employee complaints or submits unsettled complaints through the proper processes Compiles, stores and retrieves production data Assesses the overall effectiveness of our training programs to determine their effectiveness in meeting employee development objectives Job Title: ANW Shift Supervisor Reports to: ANW Production Manager Department: Airlite Nonwovens FLSA Status: Non Exempt Prepared by: HR Prepared Date: Sept 2022 Approved by: HR and Production Approval Date: Sept 2022 Control expenditures, labor overtime and costs within limitations of the assigned shift within the designated business units budget. Other duties as assigned. CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES: Forklift and power lifting equipment licenses preferred. QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree from two-year college or technical school preferred. Three (3) years of successful first-line supervisor experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises 12 to 32 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Airlite policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include organizing and prioritizing production flow to achieve goals through developing, coaching, assessing and evaluating shift coordinators, mold operators, lead packers and packers. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES REQUIRED: Capability to utilize problem solving skills. Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects/activities/goals. Must be able to work well with others, build partnerships and support team members. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and tactful in dealing with people at all levels. Must be self-motivated and positive. Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations. Display highest ethical standards. Maintain the utmost level of confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information. Detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills with the ability to operate Microsoft Office products. Upholds and supports organizational goals and values. Takes initiative and asks for help when needed.
