Alteas Health Medical Credentialing Specialist in Highland Park, Illinois

Do you have experience within the Medical Credentialing world? Alteas is looking for an experienced Credentialing Specialist who will be responsible for payor credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging processes for all medical providers.\ \

What are the must haves (aka minimum requirements)

  • High School Diploma/ Equivalent

    • Bachelors degree is a plus but not required
  • 2+ years of hospital or physician practice billing experience

  • 2+years of provider enrollment & credentialing experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Other requirements that are nice to have but not required

    • 1 year of medical billing, cash posting, and/or charge entry work experience
    • Active Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification\ </li>

  • **This is an in office position** Office is located in Highland Park, IL.

  • Complete Provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications; monitor and follow-up action as needed

  • Process applications for appointments with health plans, agencies, and other entities

  • Maintain copies of current state licenses, malpractice coverage, and other required credentialing documents for healthcare Providers

    • Tracks licensure and professional liability expirations for appointed Alteas Health Providers to ensure timely renewals
  • Maintains knowledge of current health plan and agency requirements for credentialing

    • Ensure current health plan and agency credentialing requirements are documented and met
  • Assist with revenue cycle and AR denials

  • The minimum pay for this position is \$22/hour and can fluctuate upward depending on experience
