Eaton’s B-LINE division is currently seeking a Product Engineer Specialist.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 - $154000.04 a year.

What you’ll do:
This position will be responsible for New Product Innovation (NPI), Value Added / Value Engineer (VAVE) and Sustaining Engineering products that produce a high profit margin and greater value to our customers. Position will work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales & Operations to develop and design products that will penetrate the national and international markets.
This position will oversee the development & deployment of the GEIS North America Engineering platform product and process strategies. The incumbent will coordinate multi-disciplined engineering projects from design to implementation while serving as an expert resource within the North America Engineering organization. This position will require the incumbent to have an in-depth knowledge of divisional goals and strategies while being highly proficient in project management in order to successfully manage multiple projects.
Other responsibilities include:
Utilize manufacturing background to drive designs toward manufacturing capabilities
Lead project teams to create robust product specifications
Create industry research white papers to drive product market preference
Mentor and assist in the professional development of the GEIS platform product engineers
Review and approve product test plans and protype designs for new product ideas
Identify cost out project opportunities to drive Value Added Value Engineering (VAVE)
Utilize manufacturing knowledge to uncover new opportunities
Manage the execution of 3rd party certifications while building industry notoriety
Partner with quality assurance to establish product quality standards consistent with the needs of the market
Create and maintain project development plans as well as approve Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
Utilize Phase-Gate process to manage projects
Participate in Voice of the Customer (VoC) product and requirements research
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
Minimum of eight (8) years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Minimum 3 years of CAD/Solidworks modeling experience
Minimum 3 years experience with 2D modeling/design
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship now and in the future
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of Highland, IL or Syracuse, NY will be considered. Active-duty military members are exempt from this geographical limitation
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
Experience working in a global business environment
Prior Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience
Prior customer-interfacing role experience
Experience in metal forming manufacturing
NPI and VAVE experience
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking
Ability to work in a virtual environment
Strong knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Excel
Manages complex projects involving multiple components or systems for completeness and compatibility with organizational objectives and standards
Detailed-oriented
Strong presentation skills, including the presenting technical information/project status to executive leadership
Ability to travel (up to 10%)
