Job Description:
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to evaluate, design, develop, and improve processes and products. Our ideal candidate will be able to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for maximum efficiency, cost- effectiveness, and quality, and have a high level of technical expertise. Candidate should be to effectively work within a team or independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints and to follow specific written instructions and procedures
- Position or align components and parts manually or with hand tools
- Use hand tools or machines to assemble parts
- Conduct quality control checks
- Clean and maintain work area, tools, and other equipment
- Set up and operate machinery
- Use measuring tools
Relevant Work Experience:
Experience as a general laborer in a production environment preferred. Ability to operate a forklift is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Standing: Most tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking.
- Lifting: Frequently lifting items weighing 5 lbs. to 60 lbs.; occasionally lifting items weighing up to 100lbs.
- Walking: Frequent walking short distances (less than 1/8 mile).
- Carrying: Occasional carrying of bulky items weighing up to 50 lbs. short distances.
- Pushing: Use of manual hand truck and carts to occasionally move skids or parts short distances.
- Pulling: Use of manual hand truck and carts to occasionally move skids or parts short distances.
- Bending: Occasional bending required to perform a variety of tasks.
- Reaching: Frequent reaching to load and unload parts from fixture in machine, tubs, carts, or pallets.
- Handling: Frequent handling of parts ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 60 lbs.
- Gripping: Frequent gripping of parts.
*Employees must have exceptional hand-eye coordination, which is the ability to visually control the hands at a rapid or constant rate. They typically perform the same task repeatedly, using their hands and power tools to complete the task
Work Schedule:
- 1st Shift 5:00 am-3:30 pm (10 hour shift) Monday - Thursday Subject to Change
- 3rd Shift 7:00pm- 5:00am Monday - Thursday Subject to Change
- Frequent overtime is required
