The Senior Technician Quality Control for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics performs laboratory analyses, identifies and solves problems to provide efficient and accurate reporting of results. This position involves performing daily operation of hematology systems and testing of blood derived material and/or reagents ensuring required specifications are met per laboratory standard operating procedures. Ability to multitask, possesses interpersonal skills, ability to adjust to change, good communication and writing skills, analytical skills, problem solving skills. Ensures compliance to all FDA QSR/cGMP, ISO, and Quality Policies of Beckman Coulter.
This position is part of the Hematology Quality Control department (HQC) located in Hialeah and will be fully on-site. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be a part of the Hematology Quality Control team and report to the Supervisor of Hematology Controls responsible for providing accurate testing, optimization of raw materials, quality control and assay value assignment testing. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Perform testing in hematology quality control
Execute and monitor on-site equipment and tools calibration
Support business and customer needs
The essential requirements of the job include:
High school diploma required with 5+ years of relevant experience.
At least one year of Laboratory technician experience preferred.
Familiar with quality control, quality assurance, calibration, and reagent testing
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Six-month exposure or training in a quality specialty lab is desirable. It would be a plus to have an MLT degree as a laboratory technician.
Knowledge of LIS and system automation.
Experience working in an environment with system validation, compliance, and regulation requirements.
The hourly range for this role is $23 - $26. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
