The Hershey Company Sr Solution Architect, SAP in Hershey, Pennsylvania

Location: *Hershey, PA This position can sit remotely. * Summary: Key role in ensuring that the implemented solutions will not compromise our S/4 sustainability goals as it relates to customizing our S/4 solution. The SAP Solution Architect will be primarily responsible to support the S/4 sustainment team in translating business problems into functional & technical architectures within our S/4 landscape that effectively balance business enablement with the sustainability of the S/4 landscape. The SAP Solution Architect will establish and enforce architectural and technical standards and frameworks that are fostering proper design and development work by our 3rd parties. The SAP Solution Architect will closely collaborate with the respective Product Owners, Functional and Technical Teams, Enterprise Architecture Team, and 3rd parties. * Major Responsibilities:* * In collaboration with the Product Teams develop, enhance, and advance the Business Architecture (functional and process architecture) to drive the desired business outcome while ensuring the underlying technical solution/architecture is feasible and stays within the required technical guidelines (e.g., no core customization in S/4) * Based on the Business Architecture develop, enhance, and advance in close collaboration with the IS technical and security teams the technical, integration, and security architecture * Ensure resulting architecture is a) in line with the EA standards & guidelines, b) enable the desired business outcome, and c) ensures that the resulting landscape can be effectively maintained, supported, and sustained – including future upgradability in an efficient manner. Ensure all architecture artifacts are properly created, documented, stored, and maintained * Support the Product and Support team in resolving technical or business process defects/deficiencies as needed * In close collaboration with EA, establish and enforce architectural standards within the S/4 landscape. Ensure integrated applications remain aligned with EA standards and S/4 sustainability goals. * In close collaboration with the Mgr Development S/4 and our 3rd parties ensure that the implemented solution is in line with the agreed solution architecture * Assess business impact on any technical change within the SAP Landscape and communicate appropriately to the respective product teams * Qualifications: * * / Architectural Design:/ The Sr Solution Architect SAP is well versed in the S/4 landscape to architect and design the solution architecture (functional and technical) for an end-to-end business problem or process. The resulting architecture is in line with desired standards, supports the S/4 sustainability, and solves the business problem at hand * / Innovation/: Ability to identify new SAP functional and technical capabilities and drive the appropriate usage within the HSY S/4 landscape (e.g., leverage of new AI capabilities) * / Influencing/: The Sr Solution Architect needs to be a skillful influencer to ensure all participants (product team, 3rd party) design and implement within our architectural standards and guidelines * / Cross functional work & Partnership/: Collaborate with the SAP, 3rd parties, IS Platform teams, Product Owners and their teams to develop the functional and technical architecture for business problems and enforce the solution implementation within the architecture design * Experience and Education Requirements:* * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering. o Advanced degree (MBA, Master in Computer Science or Engineering) highly preferred. Mix of business and STEM degrees preferred. * Minimum of 10+ years of experience in technology delivery roles with at least 3+ years in SAP Solution Architecture role – preferably S/4 or SAP BTP. * SAP Solution Architecture certifications highly preferred (ideally S/4). o TOGAF knowledge and certification a big plus. * Previous consulting experience as solution architect in a top IT or Management Consulting firm is a big plus. #LI-SM1 The Hershey Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
