Are you ready for a new and exciting leadership opportunity with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Sterling, our Herndon is looking for a new National Aerospace Manager to join our Air Logistics team.
Your Role
Take proactive leadership in managing Sterling operations across the Americas. Formulate strategies to enhance operational efficiency and customer service processes within control towers. Oversee the implementation of new business operations, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and manage daily operations. Collaborate with quality assurance and sales teams to deliver exceptional service offerings and customer experiences
Your Responsibilities
Oversee the complete regional logistics operations of the aviation division in accordance with the directions established on a yearly basis.
Oversee service offerings to ensure they align with annual operational targets.
Develop specific operational strategies & processes based on Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
Supports team engagement/delivery and overall quality through joint on-site meetings.
Align corporate and leadership expectations within the control tower.
Builds and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring the necessary resources are directed to meet customer needs and solutions on a global basis.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the regional control tower(s).
Closely align with the head of Quality Assurance to design and implement lean processes to ensure continuous improvement initiatives are met.
Must be able to work flexible schedule to a 24/7/365 operation.

Your Skills and Experiences
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in Aerospace logistics
5+ years of experience in Time Critical logistics
10+ years of leadership experience
Previous successful P&L responsibility a plus
Extensive knowledge of QIC organization and technologies, with the ability to lead the achievement of unified QIC solutions
Potential international travel up to 20%
Extensive experience in sales to large OEM’s, MROs, Airlines, and Business Jets, Aviation Materials

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
