CGH has an | | exciting opportunity for a seasonedQATesterto join the CGH Team. | | | | Purpose: | | | | The ideal candidate will perform requirements analysis and internal | | functional testing as a member of the development team for an | | enterprise software system supporting the federal government. As a | | member of the software development team you and other team members | | will participate in telephone and in person discussions during which | | the system requirements are discussed and refined. Typically, the | | developer will work from a document that identifies the problem and | | the solution based on a requirement. The developer develops the | | solution, then the Tester tests out the new function to make sure it | | performs correctly | | | | Responsibilities: | | | | - Develop test procedures and test scripts adapting to both | | Waterfall and Agile software environments. | | - Perform both manual and other types of software testing. | | - Perform data gathering and creation for test and demonstration | | scenarios. | | - Work with customer and development team to identify and refine | | requirements and ensure proposed solutions fulfill the customer | | needs. | | - Analyze requirements, understand business needs and be able to | | write test procedures and execute test scripts. | | - Ensure all aspects of system and functional requirements are | | tested completely for utmost quality. | | - Record the test results and generate test reports. | | - Provide the customer and development team support on web-based | | applications to include: requirements documentation, testing, | | issues tracking in JIRA, implementation support, and customer | | help support. | | - Assist in identifying issues and recommendations of possible | | solutions to development team. | | - Analyze business and system requirements. | | - Understand business and system requirements and expected | | solutions to create test conditions and expected results | | - Records system requirements through a series of formal documents, | | which describe operational attributes and discrete system | | modules. | | - Develop test scripts and test plans to support application, | | system testing and regression testing. | | - Ensures test scripts are updated with feedbacks and reviewed back | | for correctness an completion for stated requirements | | - Create Automation scripts and framework for test execution using | | appropriate testing tool | | - Participate in all aspects of testing including functional, | | integration, regression, load and system testing | | - Execute manual test scripts, records test results and log defects | | for any system discrepancies, in defect tracking tool. | | - Generate test results reports. | | - Authors and performs QA checks on system documentation (Users | | Manuals, Training Manuals, system orientation briefings, etc.) | | used to convey system capabilities to end-users. | | - Supports product briefings and demonstrations as necessary to | | support customer and internal corporate requirements. | | - Other duties as assigned. | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Qualifications | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Number of Years Experience Required: | | | | - 7-9+ years directly related experience, plus the ability to | | demonstrate the required knowledge, skills and abilities. | | | | Minimum Education and Certifications Required: | | | | - Bachelor's Degree in related field. | | | | Technical Skills Required: | | | | - Manual testing experience with modern AJAX based web applications | | required. | | - Experience and understanding of Web Services (XML, WSDL, SOAP, | | REST, etc.). | | - Experience in using formal defect tracking systems (Ex: JIRA). | | - Experience with test automation tools (e.g. Mercury Quality | | Center, Mercury Quick Test Professional (QTP), Mercury Win | | Runner, Selenium). | | - Experience in developing software test procedures, plans and test | | results documents. | | - Ability to work independently and be fully responsible for work | | results. | | - Experience in writing SQL queries. | | - Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language, | | preferably Java. | | - Knowledge to include: technical requirements, operating systems, | | software, methodologies and specific types of testing experience. | | - Ability to adapt Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) procedures | | in an Agile environment. | | - Knowledge of version control systems and automated | | defect-tracking systems. | | - Knowledge of system analysis and functional specifications, | | testing procedures/ documentation, etc. | | - Knowledge of Automation tools. | | | | Computer Skills:
