Robert Half Project Manager - Mergers & Acquisition in Herndon, Virginia

Description We are in search of a dedicated Project Manager with a focus on Mergers & Acquisitions to be a part of our team located in Herndon, Virginia. In this role, you will be expected to manage projects related to integrating the business processes and systems of acquired companies into our existing environment. This is a contract-based role in the cybersecurity sector that requires a thorough understanding of various project management tools and methodologies, along with a strong ability to communicate with executive teams.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of integration plans from inception, ensuring the smooth transition of acquired companies into our business environment

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate multiple business units successfully

• Chart dependencies and plan projects around these dependencies, ensuring all aspects are adequately mapped and accounted for

• Maintain clear and effective communication with executive teams, providing regular project updates and addressing any concerns promptly

• Utilize project management tools such as MS Project, PowerPoint, Quality Center, and Gantt charts to track project progress and manage tasks

• Ensure cybersecurity best practices are adhered to throughout the integration process

• Coordinate with the Project Management Office (PMO) to align project goals and timelines with overall business objectives

• Leverage knowledge and experience in Business to Business Integration (B2Bi) for successful project execution

• Hold a Project Management Certification or PMP Certification, using the knowledge gained to effectively manage projects

• Apply experience and knowledge in Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A) to guide decision-making and strategy planning. Requirements • Proven experience in Project Management, specifically in Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A), with a minimum of 7 years in a related role

• Proficiency in Cross Functional Project Management

• Experience in setting up and managing a PMO - Project Management Office

• Possession of Project Management Certification or PMP Certification is a must

• Knowledge and understanding of Cyber Security protocols and standards

• Experience in Quality Center for managing and executing software tests

• Proficiency in MS Project for project management tasks

• Experience in merger integration and Business to Business Integration (B2Bi)

• Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and deliver multiple concurrent projects

• Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills

• Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management, both internally and externally.
