Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Industrial Security Specialist to join our dynamic team in Herndon, VA !

Position Responsibilities:

  • Executes Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements.

  • Initiates Periodic Reviews (PRs) for nominated individuals who require program access/ submit PRs for program briefed personnel

  • Assists with mitigation of adverse/derogatory information to ensure its properly documented, stored and reported

  • Contributes to Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements

  • Reports Government Security Inspection (GSI) culpable party(ies) violation on personnel, processes and situations through internal and external channels in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of noncompliance with government and company regulations/requirements.

  • Contributes to enterprise Process Action Teams (PATs) and Integrated Product Team (IPT)

  • Assists with Business Process Instructions (BPI's) and Desktop Instructions (DI's) for the EPSO

  • Identifies deficiencies, develops and implements corrective action

  • Provides inputs and creativity into EPSO (e.g., reduce cycle time) to support nominees and SAP individuals across the enterprise in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses for complex customer requirements.

  • Assists with completing tasks for the EPSO toward long-range goals and objectives.

  • Assists with communication results to the EPSO lead, management and stakeholders

  • Contributes to EPSO operations to ensure RAAs are being executed to remain in compliance and inspection readiness for our government stakeholders.

  • Ensures PSQs for SAP briefed personnel remain current and in scope for SAP eligibility iaw our government policies and provide end of the day results to the EPSO Lead

  • Processes adverse and derogatory information on cleared/SAP personnel who hold an active clearance and/or briefed to a SAP

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

This position requires ability to obtain special program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience working in one or a combination of the following domains: NISP, SAP and/or SCI

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience

  • 3+ years of experience as a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO), Facility Security Officer (FSO) or a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO)

Typical Education / Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

This position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Summary Pay Range: USD $83,300 - $112,00
