UNC Health Care Pharmacy Tech Specialist - 340B Compliance Auditor in Hendersonville, North Carolina

Summary:

Supports pharmacy leadership regarding compliance and auditing activities of the 340B Program. Assists leaders with management of 340B program compliance and integrity and to develop and implement program policies and procedures. Assists with implementation of policies and procedures according to organizational and regulatory requirements and guidelines. Understands and applies principles, procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to specialized expertise.

Responsibilities:

Performs audits of clinical data in all areas where 340B medications are utilized

• Collaborates with pharmacy and clinic teammates to develop and provide 340B education and training to ensure program compliance,

• Documents and records identified deficiencies and associated improvement plans as directed

• Utilizes technology and collaborates with Accounting and Pharmacy Leadership in maintaining monthly management reports.

• Consistently demonstrates good time management by making priorities, working in an efficient and productive manner, and reducing non-essential interruptions to maintain efficient workflow.

• Demonstrates the ability to assess a situation and choose a course of action in general problem solving, appropriately escalating questions and concerns as necessary.

Other information:

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Four (4) years of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.

• Knowledge of basic accounting practices.

• Experience performing in a customer service role.

• Basic, expedient arithmetic skills necessary

• Excellent written and verbal communication.

• Experience working independently in a dynamic role. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize work.

• Ability to interpret and follow complex directions with minimal direct supervision.

Preferred

• Associate’s Degree

• Formal training as a pharmacy technician from an educational institution or hospital.

• Previous experience in an advanced/supervisory role.
