Are you ready to play a key role in driving financial efficiency and supporting essential business functions in a global organization? Kalmar’s Group Functions Business Controlling Team is seeking a detail-oriented and proactiveAssistant Controllerto help us ensure seamless financial administration and cost management.

As an Assistant Controller, you’ll have a hands-on role in supporting the financial backbone of Kalmar’s Group Functions, including IT, R&D, Legal, Finance, and HR.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Ownership of project setups in SAP for IT and Group R&D

  • Support for documenting, reporting, and archiving funded projects

  • Participation in cost allocation and recharging processes at Kalmar

  • Assistance to Group Functions members with invoice-to-pay related matters

  • Onboarding of new team members on topics related to invoices and cost forecasting

  • Support for Group Functions with cost forecasting and reporting, including report and estimate loads

  • Management of master data requests, such as cost centers and new vendors

  • Completion of any other tasks assigned by the line or matrix manager related to the areas of accountability.

Other Duties: Supporting team objectives and contributing to ad-hoc tasks assigned by management.

What you’ll need to succeed

Education:

  • A degree in Business or a related field (e.g., Bachelor of Business Administration).

Experience:

  • At least 1 year in a finance or administrative role in an international organization

  • Familiarity with invoice-to-pay processes is a plus.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in IT tools (Google Suite/MS Office); SAP or Basware knowledge is a plus

  • Strong customer service mindset with a proactive approach to solving problems

  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail

  • Development-oriented, with the ability to coordinate processes effectively

  • Fluent in English (Finnish is a plus).
