State of Montana Business Analyst - Financial Systems in Helena, Montana

* *Position Title: Business Analyst - Financial Systems The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT)is recruiting for a Business Analyst. This position is responsible for using process and data analytics to bridge the gap between the Administration Division and other MDT areas. Responsible for articulating the problem or issue, identifying potential solutions, report findings, and make data-driven recommendations. As an agent of change, the business analyst (BA) plays a key role as the interface between the Administration Division subject matter experts (SMEs) and the project manager within the Information Services Division to help MDT deliver value, minimize waste, and create better business alignment within solutions. This position reports to the Administration Division Administrator and does not supervise others. This position is part of a career ladder with career advancement opportunities. This agency may use a training assignment. Employees in training assignments may be paid below the base pay established by the agency pay rules. Conditions of the training assignment will be stated in writing at the time of hire. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Ability to build effective working relationships with employees from varying backgrounds and experience. * Strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Ability to communicate technical information in non-technical terms.
