CVG Airport Authority Workforce Development Program Manager in Hebron, Kentucky

Job DetailsDescriptionCLASS SUMMARY:Responsible for furthering CVG Airport Authority’s workforce development and community outreach efforts to broaden the exposure of aviation career paths with a specific focus on promoting aviation mechanic opportunities. Builds upon the existing CVG strategic workforce talent attraction, retention, and outreach strategies, by refining and expanding existing aviation-career related curriculum, including customization for underrepresented populations. This position will work with key stakeholders to build strong community partnerships to engage and attract new talent pipelines into aviation careers. This position will be responsible for accomplishing, analyzing, and tracking grant program required metrics to ensure program effectiveness and grant compliance. This is a temporary, grant-funded position.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:This class specification represents only the core areas of responsibilities; specific position assignments will vary depending on the needs of the department.- Develops and engages in formalized outreach programs for youth to increase exposure to aviation careers and attract new talent pipelines into the aviation field.- Executes ongoing programs identified as part of the CVG STARS (CVG Serves Tomorrow’s Aviation Rising Stars) grant program. Assesses, evaluates, and improves current workforce development and outreach programs.- Implements CVG STARS program elements, including teacher externship programs, immersive experiences for students and educators.- Works with internal stakeholders to leverage and build upon community relationships through regular outreach communication.- Actively participates in and produces community outreach and recruiting events. Expands existing events to better include historically underserved communities and populations.- Further develops and works with multiple departments to expand key community events, including National Aviation Day, summer aviation camps, etc.- Liaises between regional educators and aviation industry stakeholders to improve and facilitate communication to build strong/productive partnerships in regional talent attraction and retention. - Develops current and future strategic partners creating formal programs targeting workforce development.- Collaborates with and supports CVG’s current workforce stakeholders, including through attendance at quarterly Strategic Workforce Collaborative meetings.- Expands and utilizes the “River Cities Project” model to create student-employer connections across the CVG campus.- Works with multiple teams to lead and manage regular airport tours to target underrepresented youth audiences, providing improved engaging materials and curriculum.- Establishes and builds upon existing community partnerships, expanding upon education and outreach offerings targeting underrepresented communities in aviation fields, such as, women, refugee communities, limited English proficiency populations, Veterans transitioning to civilian life, and other adult learning and upskilling program participants.- Creates reporting structures and analyzes data metrics supporting program goals that improve outreach efforts and program participants’ continued interest in aviation careers.- Presents data metrics to leadership team and reports program progress in accordance with grant reporting requirements.- Performs other duties as assigned.TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Resources-related area and five years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:- Maintain Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) clearance.- SHRM-CP, SCP and/or other professional human resources certification preferred.- Valid Driver’s licenseKNOWLEDGE OF:- Human Resources’ policies/procedures and applicable employment laws and regulations.- - When to seek supervisory guidance and legal counsel.- Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and related software.- Proficiency with, or the ability to quickly learn, HRIS, CRM, talent and learning management systems.SKILL IN:- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
