Job Summary:
As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you will play a key role in managing our financial operations, specifically handling the full accounts payable cycle. This is a crucial position within our finance team, and the ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across our global operations and contribute to maintaining strong relationships with our suppliers and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and review a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or payment issues in a timely manner.
Maintain and update accounts payable records, ensuring all transactions are accurately posted.
Prepare and process weekly payment runs via checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparation of accounts payable reports and reconciliation of vendor balances.
Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
Collaborate with purchasing, operations, and other internal departments to resolve any invoice or payment-related issues.
Maintain vendor files and ensure proper record-keeping for auditing and compliance purposes.
Assist in the development and improvement of accounts payable processes and automation tools.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
1+ years of experience in accounting, AP, or similar roles
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) is a plus.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of international accounting practices and currency exchange is a plus.
