Job Summary:

As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you will play a key role in managing our financial operations, specifically handling the full accounts payable cycle. This is a crucial position within our finance team, and the ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across our global operations and contribute to maintaining strong relationships with our suppliers and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and review a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or payment issues in a timely manner.

  • Maintain and update accounts payable records, ensuring all transactions are accurately posted.

  • Prepare and process weekly payment runs via checks, ACH, and wire transfers.

  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparation of accounts payable reports and reconciliation of vendor balances.

  • Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

  • Collaborate with purchasing, operations, and other internal departments to resolve any invoice or payment-related issues.

  • Maintain vendor files and ensure proper record-keeping for auditing and compliance purposes.

  • Assist in the development and improvement of accounts payable processes and automation tools.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required

  • 1+ years of experience in accounting, AP, or similar roles

  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial systems.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) is a plus.

  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of international accounting practices and currency exchange is a plus.
