Job Title: Construction Safety Manager

Job Summary:

Gottstein Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Construction Safety Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs to ensure a secure and compliant work environment on construction sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Safety Program Development:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging safety trends.
  • Site Inspections and Audits:

    • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on construction sites to identify potential hazards.
    • Collaborate with project managers to address and rectify safety concerns.
  • Training and Education:

    • Develop and deliver safety training programs for construction site personnel.
    • Ensure that all employees are aware of and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Incident Investigation:

    • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
    • Maintain detailed records of incidents and their resolutions.
  • Safety Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
    • Keep abreast of changes in safety regulations and update company policies accordingly.
  • Emergency Preparedness:

    • Develop and implement emergency response plans for construction sites.
    • Conduct drills and training exercises to ensure preparedness.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Safety Manager in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Professional certifications such as OSHA 10, OSHA 30, CSP, CHST, or similar are preferred.
