Job purpose

The Site Software Applications Engineer Intern for Hazel Park/Warren will Design, Build, Configure and Maintain end-to-end custom shop floor apps and systems in Power Platform solutions needed to support critical business processes and strategies.

Key responsibilities

Software Applications Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead and developer of all Power Platform products/applications, including Dataverse, Power Apps (model-driven and canvas), Power Automate, Power Pages and Power BI as well as Sharepoint.

  • Design, build, configure and maintain end-to-end customs shop floor apps and systems in Power Platform solutions (especially model-driven/canvas PowerApps) needed to support critical business processes and strategies.

  • Employ a variety of data modeling techniques to create, update, and manage Power BI dashboards to deliver insightful, actionable analytics that drive organizational decision-making and enhance program and organization operations.

  • Design and maintain automated workflows and business process integrations using Power Automate to enhance organizational efficiency and connectivity.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical solutions

  • Provide day to day software support to key users for manufacturing operations and shop floor activities including problem solving and issue resolution.

  • Identify areas and processes where Microsoft 365, Office 365, and SharePoint can be better leveraged and facilitate process improvement.

  • Communicate proposed designs and progress on the work to customers, team leads, and team members.

  • Utilize problem-solving skills to understand client pain points and troubleshoot as challenges arise.

  • Multi-task effectively between projects.

  • Satisfy requirements, meet agreed completion dates, and perform unit and integration testing.

  • Stay up to date with the latest Power Platform features and trends.

  • Respect and comply with workplace safety and cleanliness rules

  • Perform other IT related tasks as needed.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.

  • Ability to work with others and independently with minimal supervision

  • Willingness to grow in knowledge base

  • Proficient in Microsoft Power Platform (Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Power BI).

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Solid understanding of relational database technologies.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paces environment, prioritize multiple projects, work under tight deadlines and handle changing priorities

  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
