Amentum Facilities Manager in Hawthorne, Nevada

Amentum is seeking a Facilities Manager to join our team in Hawthorne, Nevada to support the Hawthorne Army Depot. The Facilities Manager will report into the DPM and assist with planning, organizing, and supervising of personnel and contract administration functions.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist in monitoring project activities including but not limited to, cost, work schedules, time reporting, and resources. Provides updates as required by project and project manager.

  • Assist with the oversight and management of program activities in technical and/or non-technical areas.

  • Responsible for Site compliance, customer service, program administration, and safety requirements in accordance with contract requirements, company policy and procedures. Addresses and resolves operational issues and problems.

  • Develop and implement maintenance and logistics plans in accordance with customer and military requirements in the absence of Program Manager. Supervise, coach and lead work teams in the accomplishment of goals and tasks in support of specific programs. Perform and supervise multi-disciplinary technical and/or non-technical tasks for applicable programs.

  • May serve as a liaison between PM and customers to determine specific needs and requirements. Develop detailed Site requirements and assignments to meet PM and customer needs. Assist with coordinating investigations and resolution of operational problems in conjunction with other personnel.

  • Perform management level customer interface, including responsibility to assist personnel for contractual proposals and deliverables, development of responses to the Requests for Quotes and overall task execution. Develop required technical and management documentation in support of customer technical and programmatic reviews.

  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, constructions management, project management, facilities management or other relevant discipline and 10 years private sector or military experience directly related to contract performance with at least 5 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.

Or associate degree in engineering, construction management, project management, facilities management or other relevant discipline and 14 years private sector or military experience directly related to contract performance with at least 5 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.

Or High School diploma/equivalent and 18 years private sector or military experience directly related to contract performance with at least 5 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.

  • 5 years supervisory experience in a plant maintenance position.

  • Knowledge of maintenance engineering disciplines, maintenance technologies, and maintenance management.

  • Experienced in maintenance work planning and scheduling.

  • Must be familiar with mechanical equipment, tools, electrical and instrumentation test equipment and their calibration standards, and basic machine shop operations.

  • Understanding of human resource, finance, and taxation requirements in a multinational environment.

  • Knowledge of federal government service contracting process and associated local, state, federal, and other regulations.

  • Good oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

  • Position may require travel.
