SOC Assistant Manager, Project Management Office in Hawthorne, Nevada
The position of Assistant Manager, Project Management Office is located at the Hawthorne Army Depot, near the modest, west central Nevada, “High-desert, mountain-side”, community of Hawthorne. Hawthorne Army Depot, known as “The Largest ammunition storage facility in the world,” is centrally located near the modest community of Hawthorne, Nevada, at the base of 11,000 ft. Mt. Grant and at the south end of large and historical Walker Lake on Highway 95. We are located within a comfortable 1 to 2 hour drive of numerous communities and cities in Northern Nevada and Northern California. Assist the Manager in planning and developing policies and to establish goals for the organization. Enforce company policy and safety standards.
Prepare Statements of Work, Standing Operating Procedures, and Contract Pricing Proposals. Coordinate procurement of supplies and materials. Schedule ammunition movements. Monitor ammunition maintenance/demil operations and cost control.
Assist in the operation of a property disposal facility to ensure the safe and appropriate sale or disposal of derived components, maximizing profit from the sales. Comply with all local, state and federal regulations and guidelines pertaining to the sale of derived items.
Under the direction of the Manager, direct the work scheduling for the Division, set priorities, and make work assignments. Coordinate with ACO and AMCCOM involving schedules.
Responsible for securing, maintaining, and distributing all technical data, including specifications, DMWR's, manuals, standards, and related items.

May be assigned occasional duties of a higher level of difficulty than those listed above. Ability to plan, schedule and control ammunition pre-production, production and post-production operations.
Knowledge and ability to prepare Statements of Work, Standing Operating Procedures and Contract Pricing Proposals.
Knowledge of safe and appropriate sale or disposal of derived components and compliance with all local, state and federal regulations and guidelines pertaining to the sale of derived items.
Ability to monitor ammunition maintenance/demil operations and cost control.
Knowledge and ability to secure, maintain, and distribute technical data, i.e. specifications, DMWR's, manuals, standards, and related items.
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required. A.A./A.S degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or equivalent experience required.
Minimum two (2) years supervisory/executive level experience in Project Management, Industrial Management, or Engineering required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain all certifications as required by SOC’s Master Training Plan
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State driver’s license. Must also be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of government security clearance as well as a clearance through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and be favorably vetted through the NCIC III System.
Must be able to perform work duties routinely, in a safe and effective manner, remaining alert and aware of potential work/safety hazards at all times, and especially alert, while performing safety sensitive duties.
