We are interviewing individuals looking for per diem & part time hours

Pay Rate =DOE

This is a hands-on position that requires a roll-up-the-sleeves mentality and willingness to do whatever is necessary. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years’ experience, If you have worked Assisted Living/Health Care setting even better! Must work well in a team environment and be able to communicate with Residents, Tenants, Staff, Guests and Vendors. The individual must have strong skills in building systems, plumbing, electrical and HVAC.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform all routine and preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heat and A/C, carpentry, and other building and grounds operations for all Van Dyk properties.

  • Coordinate, and completes, when necessary, the turnover of empty apartments to ensure repairs or upgrades are completed in a timely manner.

  • Performs basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry work

  • Perform regular maintenance of HVAC system and perform minor repairs

  • Respond to emergency calls for building or rental houses maintenance issues and repairs as needed

  • Maintains a flexible schedule including after hours, holiday, weekends, on call emergency and as needed

  • Must possess excellent customer service skills and be courteous and helpful to residents, tenants, families, guests and staff members

  • Works well under time pressure, deadlines and multitasking

  • Ability to identify issues, determine repairs, and complete repairs that are needed

  • Strong problem-solving ability, knowledge of building codes and safety regulations

  • Ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.
