Summary This position is located at Kilauea Military Camp - Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Island of Hawaii (Big Island). Responsibilities Sets up bars for operation, obtains cash bank and stocks service bar; Records sales and makes change or prepares charge slips. Assures an adequate stock level is maintained, sets up storeroom and work area to permit easy access to stock items. Prepares a limited variety of simple alcoholic beverages as requested by patrons and wait staff. Identifies persons who become unruly or who appear intoxicated, resolves the problem or seeks assistance in accordance with established procedures. Keeps bar and work area clean and sanitary. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: 1. Meet state/local age requirements (21) for the serving of alcoholic at the time of appointment. 2. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 20 pounds. 3. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory. 4. FWS Allowances and Differentials This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position. All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee. Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.
