We are in search of a meticulous Payroll Specialist to join our team located in Haverhill, Massachusetts. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be tasked with managing payroll data entry, handling payroll for different pay cycles, ensuring accuracy in payroll taxes, benefits, deductions, and compliance with laws. This role provides an opportunity for a short term contract employment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform manual data entry for payroll processing in an accurate and timely manner

• Handle payroll for different pay cycles, ensuring that all employees are paid correctly and on time

• Guarantee accuracy in payroll taxes, benefits, deductions, and ensure compliance with relevant laws

• Collaborate within a small team and coordinate with the HR department as necessary

• Conduct time entry, reconciliations, validations, and backend reconciliations diligently and meticulously

• Maintain a high level of detail and accuracy in all tasks

• Be prepared for potential overtime work if necessary, including occasional weekends.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Payroll systems and Data Entry

• Knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work in a team and coordinate with various departments.

Requirements • Must have at least one year of experience in a Payroll Specialist role or a similar position

• Proficiency in payroll systems is a must

• Strong data entry skills required

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Understanding of payroll tax laws is desired

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and payroll laws

• Ability to handle and resolve complex issues with discretion and patience

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
