Aerotek Prepress Operator in Hauppauge, New York
Hello,
My name is Kyle O'Rourke and I'm reaching out to you from Aerotek Manufacturing Services. I am currently doing urgent hiring for two of my top clients who are hiring Prepress Operators on Long Island that is paying $22-28/hour (dependent on experience).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review files that are received from job order and check it for thoroughness and completeness before printing processes.
Use page layout software to manipulate the format of product along with formatting of offset printing like catalog, booklet, brochure, poster, etc.
Determine the requirements of the offset printing items such as fold pocket, paneling, overlap, page layout, trims, bleeds, grippers, in addition to crop marks and color bars as necessary.
Output laser proofs and check work for accuracy.
Identify missing or problematic components and communicate to supervisor.
Prepare color proofs for customer review.
Maintain prepress equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Minimum of 2 years related experience
High School diploma or equivalent work experience
Strong organizational, and time management skills
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience with printing equipment maintenance and repairs
Ability to accurately distinguish color variation
High attention to detail and judgment based on written procedures and guidelines
Ability to identify production problems and ability to identify quality problems
Energetic, dependable and a reliable team player
Ability to follow directions, safety standards and be on-call for emergency situations
Willing to work overtime as required, occasionally on short notice
Ability to tolerate being exposed to loud noises and moving machinery
