THE ROLE: Payroll Analyst

Job Summary:

As a Payroll Analyst, you will be responsible for processing employee payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in payroll software, and a solid understanding of payroll processes.

Travel Requirements:

This position does not normally require any travel, but you may be asked to travel for an annual department meeting or on an extremely rare occasion. The Presidio office location that you will be assigned to is in Hauppauge, NY. However, after a Presidio and functional learning curve is achieved, working remotely will be offered at Management discretion.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Process biweekly, and monthly domestic payroll for employees accurately and on time.
  • Review and verify payroll data to ensure accuracy, including hours worked, taxes, deductions, and reimbursements.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters in a timely and professional manner.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Prepare payroll reports for management as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll regulations and ensure compliance.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in payroll software, such as UKG, ADP or Paychex
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Smartsheets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent and proven attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred or equivalent experience and/or military experience
  • Over all 3+ years of Experience in Payroll processing or related field.
