This job consists of conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives, and preparing reports for management. This Financial Analyst role, which is a full-time employment opportunity, is located in the Hauppauge, New York. How you will make an impact

  • An ideal candidate should be highly flexible, comfortable with large amounts of information, and adept at managing expectations

  • Work alongside cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to ensure plans are properly executed

  • Survey performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities

  • Develop monthly reports to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required

  • Work with the Accounting team on monthly and quarterly financial close processes

  • Complete and direct forecasting reports

  • Support Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis, as well as P& L forecasting

  • Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives through the development of financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

  • Ensure business partners handle their resources by tracking monthly and quarterly performance through the comparison of actuals versus expectations

  • Enable successful Business Intelligence (BI) to deliver valuable foresight and decision support

  • Have a thorough understanding of internal and external drivers and be able to explain how they are impacting performance and trending Requirements - Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)

    • Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

    • Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools experience a plus

    • 10+ years of experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

    • Background in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly valued (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

    • Comprehensive knowledge of financial analysis

    • Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT) experience highly preferred

    • Adeptness in Analyze Trends

    • Demonstrated knowledge of Analyze Trends

    • Variance analysis experience required

    • Monthly Variance Analysis experience preferred

    • KPI Reporting experience highly desired

    • Strong familiarity with Provide Variance Analysis

    • General familiarity with Process Improvement

    • Practical knowledge of Ad Hoc Reporting

    • experience in in Spreadsheet and ERP system

    • BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

    • Strong problem-solving skills

    • Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience preferable)
