Job Description
This position involves moderate electro-mechanical assembly and testing. The assembler may work with limited supervision and may be involved with clerical/administrative duties related to the department. Individuals must be motivated and able to complete tasks on schedule.
Essential Duties:
Electro-mechanical assembly often involves the use of hand tools.
Reading and understanding work orders, technical drawings, and work instructions.
Measuring and understanding fractions and decimals.
Mounting components such as transformers, circuit boards, and fans onto chassis.
Routing and connecting wires between components.
Installing finished assemblies or sub-assemblies.
Assembling hardware such as fasteners, clamps, knobs, and switches.
Testing and troubleshooting finished products and subassemblies.
Conducting repairs or rework on any product within your skillset when necessary.
Understand and practice Simco-Ion’s inventory management process (Kanban)
Participating in the recording and presentation of data and metrics related to your work.
Marginal Duties:
Operating a powered lift truck.
Packing finished products and custom crating.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
2 years related job experience in a manufacturing environment
General knowledge of manufacturing and machinery operation.
Able to identify a problem and offer possible solutions or corrective action.
Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Able to perform basic mathematical equations accurately and quickly such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Able to interpret blueprints and build accordingly.
Able to multi-task and organize workload to complete tasks on time.
Able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
Able to work while standing for long periods, typically at a workbench.
Willing to work and assist in multiple work cells and perform different duties throughout the day.
Primarily a manufacturing shop environment.
All Simco-Ion safety guidelines must be followed.

The position is located in Hatfield, PA. at the Simco-Ion facility.
