Robert Half Desktop Support Analyst in Harvey, Illinois

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Desktop Support Analyst in Harvey, Illinois. This position is based in the electrical, mechanical, and safety infrastructure solutions industry, where you will be providing technical support to users and maintaining computer systems and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive IT support to users via phone and remote assistance.

• Act as a technical expert, assisting users in troubleshooting issues and resolving problems with computers, data, and equipment.

• Ensure the coordination and follow-up of customer problems.

• Handle the process of packaging and reimaging laptops.

• Take charge of laptop refresh and ensure users get their machines back in a timely manner.

• Assist with system administration as needed.

• Serve as the first point of contact for all Information Technology issues.

• Research and resolve complaints and problems in a timely manner.

• Maintain an active role in the Active Directory. Requirements • The candidate must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Desktop Support Analyst.

• Proficiency in utilizing Active Directory is required.

• The candidate should have a good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.

• They must possess excellent problem-solving skills.

• The ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues is vital.

• Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software is preferred.

• The candidate should have excellent communication skills to explain technical information in a non-technical, clear, and easy-to-understand manner.

• They should be capable of prioritizing and managing multiple open cases at once.

• The candidate must be able to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• A strong understanding of network protocols and DNS/DHCP configurations is desired.

• They should be able to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal.

• The candidate must be detail-oriented and capable of maintaining accurate records of each case.

• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.

• The candidate should be open to working in shifts, as the role may require providing after-hours support. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
