The Merchandising Content Lead will execute digital merchandising and content strategies in partnership with e-commerce, Marketing, and Merchandising teams. This role is vital in creating compelling, brand-appropriate content strategies for Batteries Plus based on marketing plans, merchandising feedback, competitive insights, and analysis of product and content metrics.

Essential Responsibilities

Manage the development and optimization of high-quality content that is aligned with Batteries Plus' market position

Utilize research, metrics, and data to improve how customers locate products on the company website and through search engines

Conduct in-depth digital competitor analysis to understand trends, consumer needs, and experience opportunities for products and categories

Support SEO best practices by aiding in content and experience optimization for improved rankings

Help manage and improve the features, benefits, and other product content tagged or linked to items on the site or internal product data site.

Present ideas and lead discussions on team processes and recommendations for product content found throughout RMS and Batteriesplus.com

Engage vendor partners to aid in the gathering of enhanced product information & assets

Lead the process management for the Merchandising Content Team, communicating effectively and gaining partner buy-in/compliance

Build effective relationships with our merchandising, data, and marketing teams to ensure thoughtful execution of product and category strategies, acting as a liaison to acquire timely and accurate product information

Ensure accurate execution of digital content entry and management for consistent performance

Engage vendor partners to aid in the gathering of enhanced product information & assets

Create and maintain the standards around site content strategy, external and internal digital merchandising processes, gathering of content and site imagery, and ad hoc digital projects.

Assist cross-functional teams with documentation, manuals, and other supporting documents to effectively communicate processes, best practices, and other product information.

Conduct in-depth digital competitor analysis to understand trends, consumer needs, and experience opportunities for products and categories

Support SEO best practices by aiding in content and experience optimization for improved rankings

Supports the successful onboarding and training of new team members and internal partners

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or a related field.

3 or more years of experience within digital merchandising and/or content space.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to independently handle multiple projects/tasks, plan and establish priorities to meet deadlines with good control and results, able to develop and follow up on plans.

Ability to work autonomously, collaboratively, and as a member of a cross-functional business team. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills

A quick study and self-starter that shows initiative

Flexible and well-organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work with confidential data of major importance such as process, service and product costs which, if disclosed to outside contacts, might have a significant external effect and/or be detrimental to the organization's interests.
