You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain user manuals and for a large and active product suite (approx. 460 product releases yearly)
Create new user manuals for new products, from scratch
Collaborate directly with developers and business analysts
Work directly with product management to communicate product information

Research and be able to effectively document regulatory software updates: o Be able to research independently, without direction, as well as alongside team members
Respond to documentation-related questions/concerns from clients/client care
Be deadline driven and able to change course at a moment’s notice
Be willing to adapt to new technologies and processes in a small amount of time
Successfully communicate with different departments within Optum

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
1+ years of experience holding the title of Technical Writer or similar position
1+ years of experience in software development life cycle and SCRUM
1+ years of experience in Software documentation (e.g., user’s guides, release notes, etc.)
1+ years of experience writing and understanding technical information and transforming it into something palatable for all audiences
1+ years of experience using Adobe Acrobat or similar tool for creating PDFs
1+ years of experience using TechSmith SnagIt or similar tool for taking/editing screen shots
Intermediate level using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (or higher)
1+ years of experience Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
1+ years of experience in Adobe FrameMaker
1+ years of experience in Adobe Photoshop
1+ years of experience using Rally Dev (or similar SCRUM tool)
1+ years of experience MadCap Flare
Soft Skills:
Detail orientated, thorough, highly organized
Be able to successfully work on a team and as an individual
Eager to learn
Can-do attitude

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
